Mele PCG03 Plus Mini PC Launches Later This Year For $149

As well as announcing the launch of their new PCG02 PC Stick, Mele has also announced the launch of a new mini PC in the form of the PCG03 Plus which is equipped with an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 Cherry Trail processor.

Other features of the PCG03 Plus hardware are similar to that of the previously launched PCG03 offering support from 2GB of RAM together with 32GB of internal eMMC storage.

Together with connectivity via 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 as well as providing 3 x USB ports, HMDI and VGA connections.

The latest addition to the range of mini PCs will be available before the end of the year and is expected to be priced at around $149, shipping preloaded with Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 operating system. Toshiba dynaPad Windows 10 Tablet Announced

Toshiba has announced a new Windows 10 tablet, the Toshiba dynaPad and it also comes with an  keyboard dock and a stylus.

The new Toshiba dynaPad features a 12 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels, it is up for pre-order in Japan and will launch in the US and Europe next year.

The dynaPad also includes updated versions of Toshiba’s exclusive suite of original business applications that enable users to easily collect, organize and share notes, images and files, including TruNote, TruCapture and TruRecorder, plus new TruNote Clip and TruNote Share apps for capturing screen clips and sharing handwriting in real time. The suite integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Office for convenient editing and collaboration. Oh, and dynaPad is perfectly suited for both right- and left-handed users – apps like TruNote can adapt to either, allowing you to maintain a normal writing style no matter which hand you prefer.

Windows 10 Phone Updates Will Be Controlled By Microsoft And Not The Carriers

Some good news for Windows Phone users regarding the Windows 10 Phone update to their devices, Microsoft will control the updates and not the carriers.

This means that Microsoft will decide when the Windows 10 Phone update will be released to a particular handset and not the mobile carriers.

The news comes from Microsoft’s Panos Panay, who gave a statement regarding the updates to WMPU, you can see the statement below.

“Microsoft is working closely with mobile operators to leverage their testing and our flighting to meet and exceed current quality bars. We will use their input but will decide when to send the updates out based on input form Mobile Operators and our Windows Insiders.”

This means that you should not have to wait for your individual carrier to release the update for your handset, instead when Microsoft decides to release it for a particular device, it should be pushed to all carriers at the same time.

New Windows 10 Insider Preview Adds Lots Of New Features

Microsoft has announced the release of a new Windows 10 Insider Preview, which brings a range of new features to Microsoft’s OS.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview comes with the Build number 10565 and as well as a range of new features there are also a range of bug and security fixes.

Today we are releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10565 to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. This build has quite a few new features and improvements so we’re really excited to get this one out to you for you to try out. One thing I want to call out up front is that this build and associated Language Packs won’t be available until later this week for Windows Insiders in Russia and Turkey.

Micromax Canvas LapTap LT777 for Rs 17999 coming to Amazon India

The Micromax Canvas LapTap LT777 is all set to be made available through online retailer Amazon India for Rs 17999 starting from October 13. It acts as successor to the Laptab LT666 which was launched some time ago but with a smaller battery and display size. The older device is going for around Rs 14000 at present and also makes for a pretty decent budget laptop.

An 11.6-inch 1280 x 800p WXGA resolution IPS screen that’s touch-enabled finds it way onto the Micromax Canvas LapTap LT777. The chipset powering the 2-in-1 convertible is a quad core Intel Atom Z3735F processor clocked speeds of up to 1.83GHz. There’s 2GB of DDR3 RAM aboard as well as 32GB internal memory. Support for additional hoarding space of 64GB via the microSD card slot is included.

The LapTap LT777 works on Windows 10, the new Microsoft OS bringing in a handful of nifty features like digital assistant Cortana, virtual desktops, Snap Assist for people who always have too many windows open, better notifications and most importantly for touch users, Continuum. The Micromax laptop enables 3G via its SIM card slot along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

It has two USB 2.0 ports, a headphone jack and an HDMI port. The front area above the display and the back panel both host 2MP cameras. Tipping the scales at 1.5kg, the notebook has a 9000mAh battery which is supposed to be good for at least 10 hours of use. Micromax also released the Canvas Lapbook L1161 recently with a smaller battery, a VGA webcam, and a tag of Rs 13999.
