Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ Running Cyanogen OS Unveiled For $299

During MWC 2015 this week Alcatel has taken the opportunity to unveil its new Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ in theform of an extra large smartphone or phablet, whichAlcatel has developed to partner with Cyanogen.

The partnership with Cyanogen allows Alcatel to install the latest Cyanogen 11 mobile operating system based onAndroid KitKat 4.4and make it available to customers as an unlocked smartphone priced at $299.

The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ will be available to purchase throughout the US in the coming months and is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek MT6592 ARM Cortex-A7 octa-core processor supported by 2GB of RAM and includes 16GB of storage, that can be expanded further using the integrated microSD card slot.The Hero 2+ is also equipped with a 5 megapixel front facing camera for video calling, together with a 13 megapixel rear facing for video and photographs. Together with a 6 inch display providing a resolution of 1920x 1080 pixels.
