Uber Joins Amber Alert Program To Help Find Missing Children

Uber has announced that it is joining the Amber Alerts Program to help find missing children, the company will send out alerts to all of its drivers in the US.
Alerts of missing children will be sent to all of the company’s drivers in 180 cities across the US, the drivers will also receive geographic information that could help them locate a missing child.
Starting today and in partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Uber driver-partners in over 180 cities across the U.S. will begin to receive time-sensitive and critical AMBER Alerts specific to their region. When an AMBER Alert is issued, driver-partners will immediately receive geographically targeted information that may help to locate and recover a missing child.
